Our Dance Program

Dance is not only a great way to increase physical fitness, flexibility and coordination, but it’s also a fantastic vehicle for discipline, social interaction and the ability to learn the language of movement.

Musical Theatre

Available for: Senior

This course runs from September to May and combines dance, singing and acting as the student develops the techniques necessary in performing in musical theatre.

Solo, duet, trio and group pieces will be explored, from the beginnings of musical theatre to contemporary work that can be found on Broadway today. Throughout the year students will build their skills in character study, choral singing, harmony, staging, and choreography.

Creative Movement

Available for: Preschool

A great introductory course for all forms of dance. Creative movement allows students to experiment with movement, rhythm, spatial awareness, and coordination, while being creative and having fun.

Creative Movement classes run from September - May.

Hip Hop

Available for: Junior, Intermediate, Senior & Adult

Always a fun, high energy workout, Hip Hop is a great style of dance, full of culture and history and is currently one of the most popular styles of dance. Students will develop strong coordination, balance, rhythm and strength.

All Hip Hop classes run from September - May.

Ballet

Available for: Primary, Junior, Intermediate & Senior

Students are taught the basics and fundamentals of ballet.  The students develop poise, self-confidence and discipline through this graceful art form, while also improving their classical technique and musicality.

All Ballet classes run from September - May.

Jazz

Primary, Junior, Intermediate, Senior, Adult

For younger students, jazz is all about learning how to move to the music - increasing rhythm, flexibility, balance and coordination while having fun!  As the student gets older, placement, strength, flexibility and technique are achieved through a centre floor warm-up followed by combinations and dance choreography which further stretch and challenge both the mind and body.

All Jazz classes run from September - May.
